A Fight of Faith

Have you ever been at the point of giving up spiritually? You were seeking after God, endeavoring to improve yourself in a certain area, or perhaps you were praying for a friend. You persevered again and again but did not see results?

Paul has some very encouraging words for us. He writes in Galatians 6:9, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." God sees our struggle. Our fight does not go unnoticed. I would like to encourage you: Keep at it. Your endeavor to be strong in Christ and live for Him is not in vain. If you were struggling, and decided to quit, it’s never too late to start serving God. Whatever the circumstances may be, lift your eyes to God and walk by faith.

God promises that we will reap if we continue in well doing. Our fight is one of faith. We must fight to persevere in our faith that God is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. When you are at the point of exhaustion and it seems as if you feel that you have no more strength, you must lean on His strength. Whenever we think we should give up, that is when we must tap into his power and allow Him to strengthen us. We will reap, if we faint not. So whatever your circumstances, don’t give up. That is the time that you are about to experience your greatest victory.

Let us persevere, that we might be counted among those that diligently sought Him. Let us strive to be able to say, as Paul said, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses." – 1 Timothy 6:12
