Psalm 103:10 says, "He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities." Isn’t that a great blessing? God knows each and every time we sin, but He chooses to show us mercy. If we are willing to go to Him and ask for forgiveness, He will never turn us away.
What a humbling thought. We are so undeserving of God’s grace. Whenever we learn something about God’s character, we can oftentimes compare it to our own character. For instance, We know that God is love. We can ask, "Are we demonstrating love?"
God is willing to overlook our sins, and our faults. Are we willing to over look the faults of others? If God is willing to forgive us and love us despite our shortcomings, shouldn’t we love and forgive those around us who fall short?
Remember what God has done for you. If you are saved, you have been forgiven a great debt. God has washed away your sin. I would challenge you to remember that when you interact with others. God forgave you of all your iniquity. Who are you to hold a grudge against another. Let us strive to share the love and forgiveness of God with one another.
"Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven." Matthew 18:21-22
