Building in vain?

What have you been working on? What is something that you have recently been working towards? Having you been seeking God’s help and guidance? No matter what you are trying to do, you cannot accomplish it without God’s help.

Psalm 127:1 reads, "Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." If God is not behind what you do day by day, then your service to Him is in vain. If you are trying hard to do something in your own power, you will not succeed.

Contrast that idea with this one. Jesus says in Matthew 19:26, "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." If God is behind what you do, then you can do anything!

I would like to challenge you, whatever you are doing, stop and examine your position before God. Are you doing something that will glorify God? Are you doing His will? If so, are you trying to do it in your own strength? If you are, you probably won’t succeed for long. Go to God, ask Him to teach you to lean on Him to receive the strength to do His will. God wants to empower you to do His will!

Look to Him. Without Him, you can do nothing, but with Him, impossible things become possible.

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." – Philippians 4:13
